Dr. Tourian is highly regarded by his patients and peers for his dental skills and aesthetic appreciation. His philosophy is based upon recognizing that each patient has individual needs and expectations. He ensures that each patient will approach their treatment plan with a full understanding of the procedures, a full understanding of options available and a realistic expectation of their results.
Dr. Tourian built this practice in 2003 from scratch. He worked as an associate dentist at a clinic in Tierrasanta during the day, and worked long into the night at his new practice. At that time, he could count on one hand the number of patients he had. His success has since soared and his patient base has grown immensely. Thanks to our patients kind referrals of their loved ones and friends, we run this practice strictly by word of mouth, we do not advertise and we are not listed in the yellow pages.
Undergraduate Studies
Dr. Tourian earned his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of California, San Diego. He majored in biochemistry and cell biology. He minored in music. 1993-1995
Dental School
Dr. Tourian attended New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry from 1995-1999 where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) Degree.
Residency
Dr. Tourian was a resident dentist at Lincoln Hospital and St. Barnabas Hospital in New York from 1999-2000. There he worked with top surgeons, prosthodontists, periodontists, endodontists on patients ranging from trauma to extensive oral rehabilitation and full mouth reconstruction.
Associate Work
Dr. Tourian moved back to San Diego at the end of his residency where he immediately began working as an associate dentist at a local dental clinic from 2000-2003. He then opened his private office and has been practicing here since.
Continuing Education
Dr. Tourian takes 2-3 continuing education classes per year, mainly studying the latest advances in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry. He is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and the San Diego County Dental Society (SDCDS).
